The Refinery-cum-Petrochemicals Project at Barmer, Rajasthan has been a much awaited one as it is to likely to positively impact the livelihoods of thousands of people living in the region. Barmer disctrict is located within the Thar desert and has a dry and arid landscape.

And as a contrast, the women there create magic with their fingers, using embroidery and applique work to make some of most vibrant and colourful products.

The campaign for the 'Work Commencement Ceremony of the Refinery-cum-Petrochemicals Project' was an inspiration from this Barmeri Art.
